shadows of change- 1- visitors
"you're going to lose shamefully!" the forest carried the shout for quite a distance. a random onlooker trying to locate its owner would have been dumbfounded. There seemed to be no one around. but had one looked up, he would have been in for quite a surprise. "your gloating is premature" answered a quieter voice. two forms flew from tree to tree, running on the stretching branches and leaping the gaps in a wild race. this in itself was not an unusual sight. but the fact one of them was dark skinned and white haired would have caused any onlooker to stare, mouth agape, before realizing what he was seeing and running for his life. the running

Therazin fell to the forest's floor with a thud, having lost his balance as he was pulled through. "Thank the spirits!' he said again. a boot landed not very far from his face. He looked up, to see Kat towering over him, a scowl on her face. She was clad in the black leather armor she wore for the markets, and that expression on her face when wearing these cloths gave him pause. "Irresponsible fools!" she growled, "Get up and explain yourselves, and it's better be good! I almost brought out an entire patrol to save your sorry hides, risking many lives when you shouldn't have been out in the first place!" she pinched the bridge of her nose, ca

It's In The Blood 8
Div's eyes shot open before his body moved. They took a moment to focus, finding a small bug running across the floor and watching it as he cleared his mind. He'd had some weird dreams, something about eating- eating something. Something about two womyn doing things he'd never seen two womyn do before. Something about-
"Bad fairies," he managed as he pushed against the floor, getting from his stomach to his knees and sitting back on his ankles.
"Bad fairies, hm? Well, that would explain why you were talking to your knees last night, I suppose." Though he spoke in a low tone, the werbear's voice still seemed too loud for Div's head. "
The Matron's fingers drummed out a soft pattern against the rail as she leant forward to look down at the arena. The fighting ground itself was large enough to hold a whole house in; Sarnor'orbb contained many caverns within the walls that surrounded all but one side, and the arena was located in its largest. The elliptical shape of the ground was bordered by four large columns limned with bright purple faerie fire, and the stage itself held a violet glow bright enough that the drow did not need infrared to see what was going on - fights would be irritating to watch based on heat.
Her gaze was drawn to her vote; an unusually tall male stood

The Dark and Light in Us ch. 3
Chapter 3
The afternoon sun was burning bright above, and though it weakened Dhaun considerably, he stood outside among the myriad of other citizens waiting for the day's show to begin. The half-drow elf shrugged off the protective hood of his cloak, which was used to keep the sun's glare from his sensitive eyes. They stung, but because of his half-elven heritage Dhaun could still see. The drow dark elves lived in a lightless world below the earth, and while they could see in the dark the light of the sun blinded them. Likewise, the surface elves of the world walked comfortably under the sun, but were lost in total darkness.
Dhaun had dev
"This better work Alak," whispered a nervous drow as he probed their sedated victim. She seemed to be stunned still; sleep looked strange on a drow. The priest sighed in relief, the woman's eyes were piercing amber and they froze him whenever their eyes met.
"It will Kellon, just relax will you?" Alak responded impatiently. His accomplice's nervousness was catching. He too cast a wary eye on the drowess lying prone on the bed. She was a good warrior; it had taken many lives to subdue her and as they dressed her for the ceremony Alak could tell she was strong and healthy. It was a pity such beauty would be wasted once she was devoured by

Horock's Past part 3
Between glances at the multiple foes that were now surrounding them, Horock happened to take notice that the chasm floor was approaching rapidly as well, its stony surface a mere hundred feet or so below them now. He yelled out to Drazoul, "Hold on!" He then abruptly reduced his speed using the rising air currents to send them into a glide. They now stood a much better chance of a softer landing. Continuing with the flame spurts to keep those areas of darkness away from them, this also served a purpose to make a little bit of light for Drazoul to see by.
As Horock commanded Drazoul held on. He was glad that his friend had saved him for t

Horock's Past part 4
During those last few remaining moments of vision, Drazoul had caught the glint of light playing off of something metal in the center of the crater's floor. Upon edging in that general direction, which was easy to glean as the ripples within the stone served as ample guide, there was a rushing of air ahead of him, born by Horock's large reptilian head swooshing in to grab hold of the victim, though Draz couldn't discern that at this time. A startled gasp, which was meant to be a scream but that had been muffled, came from that direction as well.
Drazoul changed his objective and went for the center where the missions goal might be sitting. A
